The novice program is an introduction into the swim club environment (pre-competitive). Swimmers will learn the basic fundamentals of the four strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Emphasis on developing proper technique and stamina.
Novice meets 1 hour per week.
An assessment is required to enter this group. Swimmers must be able to demonstrate their competency in the water, including their ability to complete one length of the pool unassisted.
Swimmers in the Novice program are eligible to swim in one sanctioned swim competition per swim season. They are also eligible and encouraged to participate in local unsanctioned swim meets (such as our 'mini meet').
