This program emphasizes comprehensive training that combines high-volume swim workouts and mental discipline to improve performance. Key components include refining stroke technique for all four competitive strokes, enhancing starts and turns, developing both endurance and speed through interval training, and adhering to a strategic annual training plan to achieve performance benchmarks and competitive goals.
Gold meets a minimum 4 hours per week with the option to increase to up to 9.25 hours per week.
Swimmers in the Gold program are eligible to swim in any sanctioned swim competitions. They are expected to participate in our local unsanctioned mini meet, our sanctioned "Spring Fun" swim meet, and in at least one sanctioned out-of-town swim meet.
